Every now and again, I acquire a piece of clothing which quickly gets deemed 'my new favourite x', and with that comes the privilege of being saved only for the most special of occasions.
This denim dress is one of those items, after treating myself to it, I instantly fell in love with it. However, I'm started to find flaws in this 'favourite' tag, thus being that actually by saving said item for said special occasion, means they spend more time showing off to the four walls of my wardrobe rather than being seen and (I'd like to think) admired by friends, family...and you know occasionally a passing stranger.
This dress for example, has been worn a grand total of 3 times, and I bought it back in June... now there's something not right there.
It's been worn on holiday (see here) very much an occasion I consider 'special', it's been worn to go wedding dress shopping, well of course one has to wear a pretty dress to find the most important dress of their life... and today. Today, I have taken it to the supermarket, twice (a slight baking lack of preparation error), to my kitchen (to bake previously mentioned baking) and to the cinema...a dark room.
So, I'm officially making an effort to ensure that 'my new favourites' take pride of place not only in my wardrobe, but on the streets of Carlisle to be given the air time they deserve, so welcome Carlisle cinema-goers and supermarket shoppers to my new favourite denim dress.
